For years, the Barrie Fair has been a place where our community comes together to celebrate agriculture, entertainment, and good old-fashioned fun. But this year, we’re adding something new—something that truly shines a spotlight on the incredible talent right here in our community.
We’re beyond excited to introduce the first-ever Barrie Fair Talent Showcase on Sunday, August 24, 2025. We’ve always known that Barrie and the surrounding areas are home to some amazing singers, musicians, dancers, comedians, and performers of all kinds. Now, we want to give you a stage to share your gifts with the entire fairground.
Why Now?
- Celebrating Local Talent – Every year, we see so many talented people in our schools, churches, and community centers. We wanted to create a space where you can show off your passion in front of a live audience and be recognized for your hard work.
- Bringing People Together – There’s nothing more powerful than a community cheering each other on. Whether you’re a performer or a spectator, this showcase is about supporting and uplifting one another in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.
- Making the Fair Even More Special – The Barrie Fair is already a tradition, but we want to make it even bigger and better each year. The Talent Showcase adds something fresh, giving both locals and visitors a reason to be inspired.
Who Can Perform?
We’re opening the showcase to kids, teens, and adults, so no matter your age, if you have a talent, we want to see it. Whether you’re a singer, dancer, musician, baton twirler, stand-up comic, or have a unique ability that wows a crowd, this is your moment.
How to Apply
Performances must be acoustic only (we’ll provide two microphones), and all acts must be family-friendly. To apply, simply submit an application and a short video showcasing your talent. Approved performers will even receive free Fair passes, because we want you to enjoy everything the Barrie Fair has to offer.
