The Barrie Fair is excited to announce the return of its highly anticipated Kid-Preneur Market on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Designed to empower and inspire young entrepreneurs, this special event provides children under 16 with the opportunity to showcase their creativity, develop business skills, and engage with the local community.
Hosted at the Essa Agriplex, the Kid-Preneur Market will run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a platform for children to sell their handmade goods, artwork, homegrown produce, photography, toys, games, and even services such as yard work and dog walking. The event encourages young participants to gain hands-on experience in entrepreneurship by managing their own booths and interacting with customers.
A Unique Opportunity for Young Entrepreneurs
The Kid-Preneur Market is open exclusively to children under 16 who can independently operate their booths. While parental supervision is required, young vendors are expected to take the lead in running their businesses, providing them with valuable lessons in responsibility, financial literacy, and customer service.
Each vendor will be allocated a 10×10 ft booth space within Barn #3, shared with the education zone at the Barrie Fair. Tables will be provided, but participants must bring their own chairs and any necessary supplies for their display. While pop-up tents are optional, they must be secured properly for safety.
Registration and Vendor Guidelines
Applications for the Kid-Preneur Market are now open, with a booth fee of $25 + HST. Spaces are limited, and interested participants are encouraged to apply before the July 31, 2025, deadline.
